Couple Hugging on a Hiking Trail

Do you accept my insurance?

We accept many PPO plans, including Aetna, Cigna, Delta Dental, Guardian, MetLife, United Concordia, and United HealthCare. Each carrier offers multiple plans, so call or text us at (623) 773-1991 and our team will confirm your coverage before your visit.

Do you see patients with Dementia/Alzheimer's?

Yes, we welcome patients living with dementia or Alzheimer’s and work closely with their families and caregivers. We ask that each patient have a designated contact we can reach regarding treatment, payments, and ongoing oral health care.

Why are my gums red and puffy?

Red, swollen gums are usually a sign of gingivitis, the early stage of gum disease caused by plaque buildup along the gumline. Caught early, gingivitis is reversible with a professional cleaning and better home care, so schedule a visit before it progresses to periodontitis.

What happens if my crown/filling pops off?

Save the crown or any pieces, keep the area clean, and avoid chewing on that side. Call us right away so we can recement or replace it before the exposed tooth becomes sensitive, decays, or breaks.

How old does my child need to be to have a Dental Exam?

There’s no minimum age, and we recommend bringing your child in when their first tooth appears or by their first birthday. Early visits help your child get comfortable at the dentist and let us catch problems early.

Do I really need to floss?

Yes. Flossing removes plaque and food from between your teeth and below the gumline where a toothbrush can’t reach, which helps prevent cavities and gum disease.

Are sweets and ice really bad for my teeth?

Yes. Sugar feeds the bacteria that cause cavities, and chewing ice can crack teeth, chip enamel, and damage fillings or crowns.

What are early signs of dental trouble?

Watch for bleeding or swollen gums, sensitivity to hot, cold, or sweets, persistent bad breath, and pain when chewing. Schedule an exam if you notice any of these, since small problems are easier and less costly to treat.

My jaw hurts and I get headaches. Why?

Jaw pain paired with headaches often points to a TMJ disorder or teeth grinding, especially at night. We offer TMJ treatment and can evaluate your bite and jaw to recommend the right solution.

Why do I have bad breath?

Most bad breath comes from bacteria on the tongue and between teeth, but it can also signal gum disease, cavities, dry mouth, or an infection. If brushing your tongue, flossing daily, and staying hydrated don’t help, schedule a visit so we can find the cause.

What are my options for whitening my teeth?

We offer at-home teeth whitening at our office. We will take impressions of your teeth to fabricate custom whitening trays in our office. You will then pick up these trays and be provided with at-home instructions on how to use the bleaching gel and trays.

What if I have a dental emergency, but can't reach my dentist?

Call our office at (623) 773-1991, and if it’s after hours, our voicemail will give you instructions on who to contact and how to reach them. If you have severe swelling, trouble breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding, or a serious facial injury, go to the nearest emergency room.

What can I do to fix or replace a missing tooth?

We offer several options, including dental implants, crowns and bridges, partial dentures, and full dentures. During a consultation, we’ll recommend the solution that best fits your health, goals, and budget.

Why don't my dentures fit like they used to?

Your jawbone and gums naturally change shape over time after tooth loss, so dentures that once fit well can become loose. We can adjust or replace your dentures to restore a comfortable, secure fit.

It's been years since I've been to the Dentist. What do I need to do?

Call or text us to schedule a new patient visit, and know you’ll be welcomed without judgment. We’ll start with a thorough exam, X-rays, and a cleaning, then build a treatment plan at a pace that’s comfortable for you.

What should I expect during a dental check-up?

We’ll review your medical history, clean away plaque and tartar, take X-rays if needed, and examine your teeth, gums, and mouth. Your dentist will then go over any findings and answer your questions.

I'm pregnant and my gums are more sensitive and bleed easily. Why?

Hormonal changes during pregnancy make your gums more reactive to plaque, a common condition called pregnancy gingivitis. Brushing twice a day, flossing daily, and keeping up with cleanings help keep it under control.

What happens if I have a dental problem when I'm pregnant?

Don’t put it off, because routine care and many treatments are safe during pregnancy, and the second trimester is often the most comfortable time for treatment. Let us know you’re pregnant so we can tailor your care and coordinate with your OB if needed.

I don't have insurance. Do you offer financing/payment plans?

Yes, we offer Cherry Financing to make care affordable without insurance. Call or text us to learn which option fits your budget.
