Tooth
Colored Fillings
Many patients have silver amalgam fillings
in their mouth. Over time, these fillings
can break down and require replacement.
In this day and age, we can predictably
replace these old ugly fillings with a tooth-colored
composite resin material. In addition to
a natural looking white color, composite
resin fillings have many advantages over
silver amalgam. The material is bonded to your existing tooth structure, resulting
in a stronger, more durable filling. In
addition, white fillings require the removal
of much less healthy tooth structure than
do silver amalgam fillings. The advantages
are so dramatic that Dr. Van Sluyters has
chosen to eliminate silver amalgam from
his practice. |
